Prescrizione di esercizio terapeutico in Fisioterapia. Le basi elementari dell’identità professionale.

Storicamente, la concezione professionale della fisioterapia si basa sull’uso della terapia manuale e dell’esercizio come principale mezzo terapeutico per recuperare pazienti con vari disturbi (Hansson & Ottosson, 2015; Shaik & Maniyat Shemjaz, 2014). I termini movimento ed esercizio sono direttamente correlati alla genesi e all’evoluzione della fisioterapia. Alcuni autori suggeriscono che il costrutto centrale del corpo di conoscenza fisioterapico sia il sistema di movimento umano (Coffin-Zadai, 2007; Sahrmann, 2014; Voight & Hoogenboom, 2017), questo sistema è definito come “l’integrazione dei sistemi corporei che generano e mantenere il movimento a tutti i livelli delle funzioni corporee ed è influenzato da fattori sociali.
